!!! Pixie's Party !!!
What can we say but WOW. This was our
first visit to Pixie's Party. We will be going back again
when we get the chance. The party only has ups and no
downs. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The
staff at the reception desk was anything but friendly. The
room was small and noisy. The air conditioning was barely
working, the room was over 80 degrees in the day and never below
76 at night. The refrigerator didn't work when we arrived,
but maintenance did get it running. It was able to cool
the soft drinks by morning when we were ready to leave.
When we get a chance to attend Pixie's again, we won't be
staying at the hotel. Don't let this keep you away from
the party, but beware of the hotel.
IAO Biting the Apple
Erotic art show This was our
second time to attend this Erotic Art show in OKC. We went
this time because of the fun things that were on display and the
performance art was quite good last time. We were
surprised to see that the show was so much smaller and that the
performances arts were disappointing. The exhibits that
weren't totally lame were just plain bad. But our biggest
disappointment was that most of the exhibit didn't even follow
the rules of the contest for entry. The exhibit was to be
RED and most items didn't even hint at having RED in them.
I know where we won't be going next year.
STUDIO 69 CLUB in Tulsa
We attended the Grand Opening of Studio 69
Club
in Tulsa on May 30th. It was a well attended event.
With the security provided and the high fence around the parking
and building area we felt very safe at this location.
Being the first party at this location,
there were the normal number of hiccups. The biggest of
which was the lack of air conditioning. Everything
possible was done to keep the guests comfortable, but it was a
really hot night. Smaller things like the lighting around
the soft drinks, food, and ice could have been better. There
could also have been more locations for trash cans, maybe one by each
corner of the seating area. The chairs were not the
sturdiest that could have been provided. They tended to
get knocked over quite often.
And last but not least, the DJ played
continuous music, but didn't vary it enough and at times played
3, 4, 5, or more songs of the same genre without a single dancer on
the dance floor. A really good DJ would have scrapped the
non-dancer songs quickly and moved on to a different style.
ALL in ALL we had a great time at Club 69
and we will definitely go back. We don't want out comments to keep anyone from going.
It is a fun place and we're sure that they will take care of the
opening night mixups as soon as they can. We'll report
again after our next trip to Tulsa. |

Russell's
Nightclub is a vanilla club, but definitely enough lifestylers
attend
to make it interesting. Bet you can spot them on the dance
floor !!!! There is a Live band on Friday and Saturdays....

Sherlock's is another
lifestyle friendly club. No live band but a good DJ and always a fun
place to go.
